Claims Third In Final SOS Points |
The Southern
Ontario Sprints headed to Brighton Speedway for the
annual SOS Labour Day Classic Weekend. As always fans
came out in full force to watch the tour wrap up its
2011 title chase.
Warren Mahoney came into the weekend with
an outside shot at claiming the title and started the
weekend off strong by winning his heat race on
Saturday evening and finishing 4th in the feature.
On night two however a 5th in his heat
and a 9th in the feature left him sitting 3rd in
points, 55 points behind 2011 champion Lee Ladouceur.
The 'Wiley One' was able to capture
another checkered before the weekend was over by
winning the rain shortened SOS wingless race on Sunday
night following the championship feature.
Warren and the #25 team would like to
thank Sanderson's, Fairway Transport, RBM Carriers,
Town Autobody, Blue Beacon Truck Washes, Load Surfer,
Mechanix Wear, Beaberbuilt, Edge Performance, Black's
Transport, Steyn's Garden Centre, Tim Phillips Garage,
Mac's Welding, MP Engines, Fram and Willy Wing for
their support in 2011.
