Starts With Top Five In SOS Opener |

Mahoney and the Southern Ontario Sprints officially kicked off the 2013 racing season at Brighton Speedway on Saturday, May 18th.
A near capacity crowd was on hand to see 23 cars take to the 1/3 mile clay oval.
Warren Mahoney would line up on the pole in the third of three qualifying heats. By the conclusion of the 8 lap affair, Mahoney would finish in
2nd place behind Jamie Collard.
In the 20 lap feature Warren started third and was in contention until the
end. Throughout the race he battled hard with Mitch
Brown and Travis Cunningham for the 4th position. In
the end Warren would finish fifth behind race winner
Glenn Styres, Jamie Collard, Keith Dempster and Mitch
Brown. The run places Warren 5th in SOS points, the
same place he left off in 2012.
