 Top
five night moves Warren Mahoney into title chase
The Southern Ontario Sprints quickly got back to
business with Round #2 at South Buxton Raceway in
Merlin, Ontario.
Warren Mahoney and
the #25 team were looking to improve on their 6th
place finish in the opener at Brighton on May 17th. In
the 8 lap qualifying heat things were going well until
a cut left rear tire nearly sent the 'Wiley One' into
a vicious flip. Somehow though the car remained
upright and Warren was able to get a tow to the pit
area.
In the 20 lap main
event Warren started 10th. With patience he worked his
way through traffic and finished 5th while friend Adam
West won the event. The top five moved Warren into 2nd
in SOS points after two events.
Warren and the #25 team will look to add to their
solid start as the Southern Ontario Sprints head to
Brighton Speedway on Saturday June 6th for Round #3.
Race time in Brighton, Ontario is 7pm.
