Mahoney Gets Back On
Track With A Fifth At Brighton Speedway
After missing the first race of the Southern Ontario
Sprints 2010 season, Warren Mahoney got back on track
in more ways than one.
'The Wiley One' picked up where he left
off in 2009 with another strong performance. The #25
kicked off the evening with a second place finish,
from a third place starting spot in the first 8 lap
qualifying heat. This set Mahoney up for a redraw
position for the 20 lap main event.
The redraw however would not be kind to
Mahoney as he drew the sixth starting spot. 'The Wiley
One' however was patient and smooth. He managed to
pilot the #25 to a fifth place finish at the end of 20
laps.
Jamie Collard won the race over Glenn
Styres with a last lap pass. Keith Dempster, Rick
Wilson and Mahoney rounded out the top five.
Warren and the #25 team return to action
on Friday, July 2nd as the Southern Ontario Sprints
continue their 15th Anniversary Season at Ohsweken
Speedway as part of the Northern Summer Nationals.
