Top Ten For Mahoney
At Brighton Speedway
The Southern
Ontario Sprints were set for their first double-header
of the season before the weatherman spoiled
everything. The teams were set to make their first
ever appearance at Autodrome Edelweiss on Friday, July
9th, but rain washed away that opportunity. Focus then
shifted to Brighton Speedway on Saturday night and a
season high 20 cars were in attendance.
Warren started the evening in heat race
two. He started in the third position and after 8 laps
of racing came home 4th. That meant the #25 would be
outside of a redraw position and would have to start
11th in the main event.
After 20 laps, Mahoney moved up three
spots claiming the 8th position, one spot of his
father Dick. Chris Jones won the race for his first
ever sprint car win.
The Southern Ontario Sprints and Warren
Mahoney return to action on Saturday, August 7th as
the tour makes another visit to Brighton Speedway.
Race time in Brighton, Ontario is 7pm.
