Mahoney and the #25 team kicked off their 2006 season
at the Brighton Speedway on Saturday May 6th. The 2001
SOS Champion joined 20 other drivers at the 1/3 mile
clay oval for round one of the 2006 season.
Warren would start
the evening in heat two and would finish the 8 lap
qualifier in the fourth position. Father Dick Mahoney
went on to win the heat over Ken Swan and defending
series champion Adam West.
In the 20 lap feature
event Warren stayed out of trouble all night. Although
he lost two positions from his original starting spot
he managed to finish the night in 9th place. Glenn
Styres would capture the checkers on opening night
over Bob Crawford and Ken Swan.
The #25 team will
return to action on Friday May 19th at the Ohsweken
Speedway and Sunday May 21st at the Humberstone
Speedway for rounds number two and three of the 2006
Southern Ontario Sprints tour. |
