WARREN
KNOCKING ON THE DOOR OF VICTORY |
 |
| After
a rough start to the 2005 season for Warren Mahoney
things appear to be getting back on track. On
Saturday night at the South Buxton Raceway the #25
team were solid contenders all night. In heat
race three Warren was strong right off the bat and
came home second to eventual Dash winner Garry Evans.
In the evenings feature event Mahoney battled his way
to the front of the field. In the closing laps
of the event he managed to get by father, Dick
Mahoney, for the second spot. From there Kyle
Patrick checked out for the win while Warren and Dick
finished 2nd and 3rd in the 21 lap affair.
Warren now finds himself 8th in the overall SOS driver
standings just 79 points out of the top five and 270
points behind series point leader Adam West. Up
next for the #25 team on the SOS tour will be Friday
July 8th at Ohsweken and Saturday July 9th at the
Brighton Speedway. |
