| The
Southern Ontario Sprints got back to action on Friday
July 28th at the Ohsweken Speedway and the battle on
the track was a fierce as the battle in the standings.
Warren Mahoney was
once again fast off the truck and came out to win his
third heat race of the season. He took the 8 lap
qualifier over Ken Swan and Fred Cade.
in the 20 lap A-Main
the competition was tough. Warren's father Dick led
the first 14 laps and looked well on his way to
victory before the field tightened up and the top
seven were in a dog fight for the win. Fred Cade ended
up in victory lane for his first career feature win
while Warren would finish one position behind his
father in 8th. With all three of the top drivers in
the point standings finishing in the top 10 it bunched
the pack even tighter. Warren holds down the second
spot just 20 points behind leader Glenn Styres and
just 1 point ahead of Bob Crawford.
The #25 team will
return to action on Friday August 11th at the Ohsweken
Speedway and Saturday August 12th at the Brighton
Speedway. |
