| The
Southern Ontario Sprints ran a pair of events this past weekend at the
Ohsweken Speedway and the Brighton Speedway. It was a double header
weekend that could be the difference in the 2006 SOS Championship chase.
On Friday night the tables would turn in
the point standings. Warren would come out strong and win his heat race.
Come feature time the top three in the standings all started close to each
other but a muffler laying on the track would cost Glenn Styres more then
just a damaged race car. Styres would wind up 22nd while Warren finished a
strong 4th and grabbed the point lead for this first time in a few
seasons.
The teams headed east to Brighton on
Saturday night and once again Warren was consistent and in the top five
all night. He would finish 4th in both his heat and the 20 lap feature to
secure his new found point lead.
The #25 team will look to pad their slim
19 point lead in the standings as they return to action on Sunday August
20th at the Humberstone Speedway.
