| The
Southern Ontario Sprints traveled to Port Colborne,
Ontario for their final visit of 2006 to the
Humberstone Speedway. Warren Mahoney entered the
event with a slim 19 point advantage over Bob Crawford
and just 25 points up on Glenn Styres.
Warren kept his
consistent form with a 4th place finish in his 8 lap
qualifying heat and a 7th in the feature. Sophomore
driver Ken Swan won the event while second in points
Bob Crawford finished 11th. Third place point man
Glenn Styres who lost the point lead the previous week
rolled his car in the feature and finished a
disappointing 23rd.
After the Humberstone
event Warren now holds a 30 point lead on Bob Crawford
and is 66 markers ahead of Glenn Styres. The #25 team
looks to have consistent finishes with only four races
left in the 2006 title chase.
The #25 team will
look to pad their lead in the standings as they return
to action on Saturday August 26th at the South Buxton
Raceway. |
