The Southern Ontario Sprints
took to the track for two events over the weekend. It was the annual SOS
Labour Day Classic Weekend.
On Saturday night Warren was
strong off the truck and finished third in his qualifier. From there he
took the place of Bob Crawford in the Blacks Transport Dash for Cash and
found his way to victory lane. Come feature time problems would put Warren
down two laps early on. But problems to point leader Glenn Styres allowed
the #25 to gain points in the overall standings. Warren's father Dick
found victory lane in the main event.
On Sunday night the team
came right back with another third place finish in the heat. That was
followed up by a second in the main event. With Glenn Styres being DQ'd in
the heats and finishing 7th in the feature Warren was able to close major
ground with one race to go. With the season finale set to go this Friday
night at Ohsweken Warren sits just 7 points back of Glenn Styres.
Warren and the Clintar
Groundskeeping Services team return to action on Friday September 7th for
the SOS Championship Invitational. For more information log on to http://www.southernontariosprints.com
